Description

This beautiful supernova remnant and pulsar can be found between Taurus and Cygnus. Recently discovered, it lies at a distance of 6000 ly, and is believed to be the remnant of a Wolf-Rayet star, which probably went supernova about 7000 years ago.

Ps. It's amazing how the shapes of the two original nebulae resemble each other. Also the Ha lies within the soft OIII bubbles. Both even have strange dark bubble nebulae within the bright areas.

Version B is the M1 image and C is the Crescent image used to make this composite of both nebulae mixed together.
